For 25 Teachers & 25 Paraprofessionals

Location: Bethel Cultural Center

Accommodations: UAF - Kuskokwim Campus Student Housing

 

pictAt the Integrated Arts Workshop 25 paraprofessionals and 25 teachers will learn how the arts play a critical role in the academic development of all students. Each day participants will: Study brain research and theory, Learn how to manage art materials and Experience visual arts and music/movement techniques that you can bring back to your classroom.

Linda Pfisterer (Fairbanks), Linda Mason (Fairbanks) and Mary Beth Green (Bethel)

LKSD Staff Receive Priority Registration until March 31: Scholarships include airfare from the village, Bethel housing at the UAF-Kuskokwim student housing, meals, materials and supplies.  One credit (optional) will be offered for cost of $90.

Attendees from districts other than LKSD: Some scholarships may be available. Costs: Institute fees & materials ($150), Housing/ 3 meals are available at the UAF Kuskokwim Campus ($80/night), One credit (Optional) available for $90. We will notify applicants from districts other than LKSD by April 15, and notify you regarding available scholarships from remaining grant funds. Apply by April 15 to be considered.
